About a month ago, I decided it was that time to give my website a makeover.
Since 2010, my website has been built on Virb (whom I still love and will use in a different capacity), but what you’re seeing currently is built on a service called Koken – a website-building platform focused on designers and photographers.
I heard about Koken around a year ago, and just recently tried it out, mainly for their Adobe Lightroom plugin. For photographers, this plugin is magic. It syncs photos in the albums and sets you’ve built in Lightroom (meta/EXIF-data included) to Koken, and organizes them into your pages. Selling point for me? No more exporting various JPEG versions to my desktop and having to manually upload to my site. Also, it publishes HiDPI quality images so my photos look like they should on Retina displays with no image limitations.
Enough with the nerdy stuff.
Take a look around and be sure to check out the Double exposure project I’ve been working on with Jimmy Thorn. More to come on those, for sure.
Enjoy your stay and feel free to tell your friends and let me know what you think.
